The Journal of Esoteric Psychology (JEP) provided a cross-cultural educational exchange of high-quality, original work. From 1985-1999, the JEP presented articles related to many and varied aspects of contemporary Ageless Wisdom thought including the seven rays, esoteric psychology, esoteric astrology, healing and meditation.

The usefulness of investigation into the relationship between the constellations and their representative signs is indicated by the Tibetan when he states:
“In the understanding of the significance of the distinction between constellations as galaxies of stars, and signs as concentrated influences will come fresh light upon the science of astrology.”
Andrews, Mary Esther
The first four major asteroids located between the planets Mars and Jupiter were sighted in the early 1800’s.
One theory has it that there was at one time a planet located at this position and, for whatever reason, it exploded into these large particles of matter. We could reflect on what this means relating to the etheric or devic substance that is still transmitted by these asteroids. Certainly, the Tibetan inspires us to contemplate on the significance of these planetary radiations.
Brian Arrowsmith who resides in Queensland, Australia, is a well known writer on a variety of esoteric subjects. He has been published widely over many years and continues to make a significant contribution to the understanding of esotericism.
Artley, Malvin N. - Jr.
Malvin Artley is an engineer, technician, astrologer and esotericist with an educational background in physics and fine arts. He is the author of Bodies of Fire: An Exploration of the Lesser Chakra System and is a past faculty member of The University of the Seven Rays. He has additionally authored numerous articles on a variety of esoteric subjects. His primary focus over the past 25 years has been on the sciences as they express occultism and with bridging work between the two. His special interests are the human subtle energy system and all the chakras, or energy centers, physics and technology, astronomy and all aspects of Chinese occultism. He has done extensive work with Chinese astrology and the cycles they use and seeks to synthesize the great Western and Oriental systems on such matters. Malvin has been a practicing astrologer for more than 20 years. He is an accredited member of the American Federation of Astrologers and he lives in Adelaide, South Australia. He also currently works in the engineering trades and sends out periodic emails about astrological happenings and developments.
Keith Bailey has performed extensively for forty years as a musician and composer throughout the United Kingdom, Europe and the USA. He studied composition with Hugh Wood in London, Nils Vigeland in New York City, and as a “Fellow” with the late Morton Feldman at S.U.N.Y., Buffalo. Keith founded Fiery World Music first in London in 1978, then again in New York in 1984. He has thirty-five years of mystical and occult training and has emerged as a teacher, writer, and speaker in this field. Keith received Masonic training since 1977, from which he emerged as the founder and principle directing officer of the Masonic Order, Grand Lodge, Ancient Universal Mysteries (A.U.M.), established for both men and women to meet the Masonic quest for the restoration of the Mysteries to outer service.

Bellman, John A. - M.D.
John A. Bellman received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Michigan in 1987 and majored in Psychobiology as an undergraduate. He presently works for Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. He practices astrological counseling with an emphasis on personal and group preparation for the New Age of Aquarius. His specialties include Psychological Astrology and Esoteric Astrology via the Blavatsky/Bailey Teachings and he is currently working on a book emphasizing Esoteric Astrological applications in the clinical setting.
It can be seen that the effort to determine a ray structure is most challenging, and merely the effort to do so can enhance one’s own understanding of the rays, as well as human personality structure. This article is intended to be stimulating as well as informative.

Lawson Bracewell (deceased) was former a Board Member of the USR, a professional astrologer, and the Director of Christ College of Trans-Himalayan Wisdom in New Zealand.
Richard Bryant-Jefferies has been involved with the Ageless Wisdom teachings for many years and previously worked at the Lucis Trust in London. He is a Counselor with particular interest in the seven rays and meditation.
This article on the Deva Kingdom constitutes part of the general curriculum of the University of the Seven Rays’ Telepathic Communicators Group. A more practical and bridging set of instructions and meditative techniques are given in this group work. This group is coordinated by Duane Carpenter and Mary Esther Andrews in Boston, MA. Casalino, Mary Ann
Mary Ann Casalino as co-founder and President of the Seven Ray Institute, Mary Ann serves on the Board and faculty of the University of the Seven Rays and has helped coordinate SRI/USR Conferences for 18 years. With an MSE (Esoteric Psychology) and PhDE (Esoteric Philosophy), she teaches workshops in Esoteric Astrology, Seven Ray Seminars, and works privately with individuals. Mary Ann coordinates a team of volunteers working on an electronic version of the Journal of Esoteric Psychology.
Crane, Glenis J.
Glenis Crane resides in Adelaide, South Australia, where she works in medical research at Flinders University and tutors in mathematics. Glenis is also a student of the University of the Seven Rays Australian MSE program (Master of Science in Esotericism – with an emphasis in Psychology).
Cullen, John W. - Ph.D.
The evolution of manager and organizational development is discussed from the standpoint of esoteric ray theory. The past represents a lower manifestation of the rays while present activities represent a much higher expression. Steps toward the immediate future involve the development and implementation of managerial and organizational psycho-synthesis. Preliminary requirements for a School of Integral Management are suggested.
Gordon Davidson and Corinne McLaughlin are co-founders of several successful businesses and non-profit organizations, and are co-authors of Spiritual Politics (Foreword by the Dalai Lama) and Builders of the Dawn. They are co-founders of The Center for Visionary Leadership, based in Washington, D.C. and the San Francisco Bay area, and co-founders of Sirius, an ecological village and spiritual community in Massachusetts. Corinne coordinated a national task force for President Clinton’s Council on Sustainable Development. Gordon was formerly the Executive Director of the Social Investment Forum and of The Center for Environmentally Responsible Economies. They both have served on the adjunct faculty of The American University and the University of Massachusetts, and are Fellows of The World Business Academy and The Findhorn Foundation. They have consulted with a wide variety of clients in business, government and the non-profit community, and have taught courses on spiritual development and social change around the U.S. and Europe for over 25 years.
James Davis from San Diego, California, is the author of several important books on the seven rays and esoteric astrology. He has a very strong interest in astro-rayological research, and is a member of the University of the Seven Rays’ Research Team.
Becky Dingle and Judi Laws have studied closely with Dr. Douglas Baker, author of numerous books on astrology and the seven rays. Judi is the author of Esoteric Psychology: The Science of Human Energetics, and is also a founding director of the esoteric organization, Amethyst. Becky is a teacher and counselor in the field of esotericism. As Dr. Baker’s assistant, she was instrumental in devising and supervising the Clairgate College Correspondence Course in esoteric studies.

Sherry Edwards, B.A., M.S.E., has completed a Masters in Esoteric Psychology with the University of the Seven Rays and participated in the USR Masters in Science and Esotericism.
Jackie Elphinstone, a Clinical Psychologist, Educator and Trainer in Sydney, Australia, combines esoteric and traditional psychotherapy with naturopathy in her private practice. She is also a student in the University of the Seven Rays Australian M.S.E. program (Master of Science in Esotericism – with an emphasis in Psychology).
Richard Flynn, who resides in Cambridge, England, is a Chemist with a particular interest in the practical application of the principles of esotericism to science.
Frorer, Mary Longenecker
Mary Longenecker Frorer holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Masters degree in History from Swarthmore College, an MLS from Drexel University, and both a Ministerial Degree and Honorary Doctorate from the International Church of Ageless Wisdom. She is currently Director of the Swarthmore New Age Center where she offers classes in astrology, the seven rays, symbols and their meaning, mythology, and the Ancient Mysteries. Gerard, Robert - Ph.D.
Dr. Robert Gerard, an eminent psychologist, with extensive academic and sychotherapeutic experience, is a pioneer in the development of esoteric psychology. Dr. Gerard is the creator and leading exponent of Integral Psychology that is intended to serve as a bridge relating esoteric psychology and more orthodox psychological disciplines.
Jaison, Bala - Ph.D.
The term ”Focusing” describes a particular process developed by Eugene Gendlin, Ph.D., psychotherapist, philosopher, and professor at the University of Chicago. There is also a book by the same name (Bantam, 1981). Focusing might be regarded in two ways. It is first of all a technique: A specific six-step process or exercise.
Andrew Johnson, who resides in Durham, North Carolina, has been a student and teacher of Occult Philosophy for many years. Andrew is now serving on the Science Faculty of the University of the Seven Rays.
David Kesten and Peggy Pillsbury are members of the Esoteric Astrology Faculty of the University of the Seven Rays. They are available to give classes and seminars in Esoteric Astrology.
Krummenacher, Daniel - Ph.D.
Daniel Krummenacher holds a Ph.D. in geological and mineralogical sciences, an MSE in psychology and healing from the University of the Seven. Rays (USR), and is currently working on a Ph.DE from the USR. He is a professor (ret.) at the University of Geneva (Switzerland) and at San Diego State University.
Peter Kubaska has been a student and teacher of astrology and astronomy for over twenty years. His research into esoteric astrology has resulted in new and synthetic interpretations of the hidden astrological structure to be found within A Treatise on Cosmic Fire and Esoteric Astrology (Bailey).
Lansdowne, Zachary F. - Ph.D.
Zachary Lansdowne is a past president of the Theosophical Society in Boston. He has a Ph.D. in Engineering from Stanford University, M.A. in Psychology from Antioch University, M.A. in Philosophy and Religion from the California Institute of Integral Studies, and M.S. in Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has published dozens of journal articles and four books on philosophy and religion. His latest book, “The Revelation of St. John: Roadmap for the Spiritual Journey,” will be published later in 2005.
Helen Latham has studied astrology, Bach Flower Remedies and Landscape Architecture. She was also a student in the 2 year Master of Science in Esotericism (with an emphasis in Psychology) conducted by the University of the Seven Rays in Sydney, Australia.
What is the purpose of esoteric psychology? Let us posit that it is to enhance and facilitate the existing evolutionary movement from the ” triplicity of manifestation” (personality/soul/Monad), to the “duality of purpose” (personality/Monad) alignment.

Scott Mandelker is enrolled in the Masters Degree Program in Counseling Psychology offered by the California Institute of lntegral Studies. He holds a B.A. in Buddhist Studies and Psychology and has particular interest in applying his knowledge of subtle energetics to the practice of psychotherapy, radiatory healing, and global transformation.
Derek Matthew is currently in the process of releasing his book: The Space Time Continuum, a Book Regarding Quantum Complimentary Matter. He is also publishing a Journal called Epoch. These deal with evolving mankind and the furtherance of our understanding of time in the supreme understanding of Creation.
McColley, Lisa Kay

Corinne McLaughlin is co-author Of Inner Side of World Events and Builders of the Dawn, with Gordon Davidson. She is an adjunct faculty in the Department ofGovernment at American University in Washington D. C., and co-founder of Sirius Community, MA, and the Sirius School of Spiritual Science. Corinne is also a member of the Transformational Politics Faculty of the University of the Seven Rays.
For over 30 years William Meader has been a student and teacher of Esoteric Psychology. Central to his teaching is an exploration of the many facets of spiritual psychology as conveyed within a theosophical framework. His efforts represent an amalgamation of subjects central to a progressive spirituality. Such topics as the psychology of the soul, esoteric astrology/cosmology, and the creative magic of the soul are the cornerstones of his work. William’s work is international in scope, and has gained widespread recognition. Donna is the founder and spiritual director of Spirit Fire Meditative Retreat Center in Leyden, MA. She is an author and has been a teacher of the ways of consciousness for over 30 years. Donna has created teaching materials, curricula, and student workbooks for the University of the Seven Rays, USA, the Centre for Esoteric Studies, Canada, and Spirit Fire which teaches classes in multiple locations in the USA. She has extensive knowledge in astrology, esoteric psychology, and the energy sciences, such as chakras, subtle bodies, kundalini, etc. In addition, she has a refined understanding of Raja and Agni Yogas, Mahayana and Tantric Buddhist practices and teachings, and is a profound teacher of meditation.
Donna is past vice-president of the Theosophical Society in Boston, MA. She has published two books: Magic in the World, the Seven Laws of the Soul and Astrology Illumined, co-written with Sara Traub. Her work has also been published in The Beacon Magazine, an international magazine focusing on esoteric teachings.
Pat Muller, B.S. (Electrical Engineering), M.A. (Psychology) is a long-time student of the Ageless Wisdom teachings and is on the faculty of the University of the Seven Rays. Pat favors a psycho-spiritual approach and specializes in inter-personal communication and transformation.
Naiman, Ingrid - M.D.
Dr. Ingrid Naiman is a practicing medical astrologer in Santa Fe, NM. She travels extensively, lecturing and teaching, and is writing a seven volume treatise on medicalastrology. Ron Newbold is a Senior Lecturer in the Center for European Studies, University of Adelaide, South Australia. He became interested in motivational and esoteric psychology as a means to better understand history. He is currently investigating some early proponents of chaos theory.
Ann Prosch has been a student of the Ageless Wisdom teachings for many years, starting as a student of Carol Parrish and Torkum Saraydarian. She has taken several courses on the Bhagavad Gita and the Secret Doctrine and participates in an ongoing study group of these teachings.
Stephen Pugh, a pioneer in the field of esoteric astrology and astro-rayological thought, resides in Montreal, Canada. For many years he has focused particular attention upon developing a comprehensive and consistent paradigm for the theoretical exposition and practical application of the new highly esoteric astrology.
Barbara Rebard is a noted author on the subject of esoteric astrology and the laws and principles Of the New Age. She resides in California where her work includes a study of the relationship among nations and the peoples of nations during this transition period between the Piscean and Aquarian Ages.
Robbins, Michael - Ph.D.
Michael Robbins, PhD in Psychology, PhDE in Esoteric Philosophy. As co-founder and president of the University of the Seven Rays, Michael has persistently co-sounded and sustained the note for sponsoring USR/SRI conferences, now in their 18th year. As a long standing teacher of the Ageless Wisdom through the study of the Seven Rays, Esoteric Astrology, Cosmology, and Rayology, he has inspired students worldwide, some of whom have gone on to form their own organizations to continue the spread of the Ageless Wisdom.
He is author of Tapestry of the Gods (a two volume psycho/rayological treatise on the Seven Rays), Infinitization of Selfhood (a philosophical treatise on the nature of Identity) and is currently co-authoring a 3-volume treatise on Esoteric Astrology with astrologer, Niklas Nihlen. Michael has composed and authored musical, ceremonial ritual dramas and monthly Solar Fire Festivals that facilitate the invocation and expression of energies of the twelve Zodiacal Signs for the monthly festivals of the emerging New World Religion.

Richmond, M. Temple
Maureen Temple Richmond has been a student of the Tibetan’s esotericism since 1973, teacher of yoga and meditation from the mid-70s to the mid-80s, astrological counselor andteacher since 1981, Writer and lecturer in the field of metaphysics since 1983, and currently a teacher of esoteric astrology and esoteric occultism. Torkom Saraydarian’s life goal was a zealous effort to help people live healthy, joyous, and successful lives. He was an accomplished pianist and violinist, a teacher, lecturer, composer, mechanical engineer, meteorologist, writer, and philosopher. His books cover a wide spectrum of human existence and offer insights and explanations to anyone interested in applying spiritual guidelines to everyday life.
Kevin Townley has been a lifelong student of Western Hermeticism. Early on in his studies, he became drawn to the writings of Dr. Paul Foster Case and has been a member of the B.O.T. A. for 11 years. Turner, Robert P. - M.D.
Robert P. Turner, M.D. is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of California, San Francisco and a psychiatrist in private practice in San Francisco and Los Gatos. He has been pursuing alternative approaches to mental health care for over 15 years, with training in Transpersonal, Jungian, and Spiritual Psychology, and more recent interest in Esoteric Psychology.
