Main Conference Presentation: The Hidden Power of Music
We will explore the English translation of the book titled “Ukryta Potega Muzyki” (The Hidden Power of Music). It was originally published in 1933 in Polish. The author Tomira Zori, was the disciple J.S.P mentioned in Alice Bailey’s book Discipleship in the New Age. Born in 1880, her birth name was Cotvici-Ghilevici Tomira. She was a Polish woman living in Bessarabia, modern day Moldova/Romania. She took an active part in various esoteric associations abroad and printed her works there. She is known for her articles in “Wiedza Duchowa” and “Lotus”; in addition to being the author of “Richard Wagner’s Religions”; Tomira also translated many works of Max Heindel and Alice A. Bailey into Polish.
The Hidden Power of Music is a deep dive into the metaphysical, historical and scientific power of vibration and sound; a gem of its time worthy of a modern day audience.
Biography
Rose Bates from an early age was attracted to the Ageless Wisdom in the form of ritual and study. She started this journey as a child in the Rosicrucian Order, being privileged to have an active role in mystical ritual. During the crisis of adolescence, she deeply immersed herself in the works of Alice Bailey thereby finding a wider world view with meaning and purpose to life. During this time she also engaged in an investigation of Theosophy, Esoteric Tarot and Qabalah. Rose wants to see active expression of Soul Life become manifest in groups and individuals, where it can transform both minds and, more importantly, Hearts (the living Abundance of Self).
